Post 15: What I've learned

      Overall, I really enjoyed this class. For the first time, I was taught to really analyze literature, but without it being boring. I learned how exciting it is, and how much meaning authors put into each of their words and their overall works.      The most recent example, and the one I can explain best, is my new appreciation for Shakespeare. I had read some Shakespeare before, and I knew that there was conflict and lost loves; but a perfect example of what this class has taught me to do is what we talked about today in class: Shakespeare strategically used MANY dramatic takes and ideas in his plays, and this class has taught me to point them out and how important it is to, also, understand works from their time period's point of view. Today we talked about "Othello" and how he had made drama through the different races, faiths, ages, and more. This class taught me to catch these things and understand their significance.
