Post 10: An image that represents my life

You may be thinking a restaurant...? But, when I choose somewhere to eat or when I think of eating out, I think of all the love and joy my family brings me. My parents got divorced when I was in second grade, and my sweet father didn't know a thing about cooking. Now, I want to give credit where credit is due- he has TRIED, but most things he has attempted to make are not edible. All that to say, since I was in about third grade about 95% of my meals have been shared with my dad and sister in a restaurant.

To me, a restaurant represents the many conversations, laughs, and love shared among my family. It represents comfort and love. This reminded me of the image of home-baked bread in the poem "Home-Baked Bread" by Sally Croft. Croft chose an item that representing stability and comfort and then made it apply to her life, and I tried to do the same.

  1. This was really good, Clara. I think you did an excellent job related the restaurant image to your life. You connected both of those things effortlessly to the Croft poem. Well done. Thanks for sharing, Clara

  2. I like how you were able to relate your post back to the poem of "Home Baked Bread". One of the best post I read so far.

  3. Your post was really good. When I see this image, I have a totally different thought. To me this imagine is a crowded restaurant, I don't like crowds. I would not feel easy here. However, I really enjoyed reading how this imagine made you feel. It's interesting that we can have two very different feelings from this image.
